Biological age test: how old is your body?
This biological age test turns 9 blood values into your PhenoAge, an age in years that you set next to your calendar age. Free, in your browser and without an account.

Biological age calculator
Enter your blood values as they appear on your lab report; everything is calculated in your browser and never leaves your device.
This estimate is based on the PhenoAge formula (Levine, 2018) and is intended for education, not medical diagnosis. Blood values vary by laboratory and method. Always discuss your results with your doctor.
What is biological age?
Your calendar age counts the years since you were born, while your biological age, sometimes called your real age, estimates how old your body is functioning. That estimate comes from blood values linked to ageing and health.
How is it calculated?
This tool uses the PhenoAge method, a formula that combines 9 blood values and your age into a single estimate of your phenotypic age, also called your biological age.
Which blood test supplies these 9 values?
Six determinations cover all nine values, and you pick them yourself in the test builder. Come fasted, because the glucose value only counts when you have not eaten.
- 01 Complete blood count white blood cells, lymphocytes, MCV and RDW
- 02 Albumin albumin, g/L
- 03 Creatinine creatinine, µmol/L
- 04 Fasting glucose glucose, mmol/L
- 05 CRP CRP, mg/L
- 06 Alkaline phosphatase ALP, U/L
All nine are also in Whoop Heart Health.

Frequently asked questions
What is the PhenoAge method?
PhenoAge is a biological-age model from 2018 (Levine et al.) that combines 9 blood values and your age into an estimate of your biological age. The model comes from large population studies and is linked to health and ageing.
Which blood values do I need for this biological age test?
Nine values plus your age: albumin, creatinine, glucose, CRP, lymphocytes, MCV, RDW, alkaline phosphatase and white blood cells. Six determinations supply them together: a complete blood count, albumin, creatinine, fasting glucose, CRP and alkaline phosphatase.
What is the difference between my calendar age and my biological age?
Your calendar age is fixed: the years since you were born. Your biological age is an estimate of how your body is functioning now, and it can come out lower or higher and moves with your blood values.
Which units should I use?
Use the units reported by European laboratories, and the correct unit is shown next to each field: g/L, µmol/L, mmol/L, mg/L, %, fL, U/L and 10⁹/L.
Are my entered values stored?
No, the calculation happens entirely in your browser: your entered values never leave your device and are not stored anywhere.
How accurate is the estimate?
It is an estimate based on population data and it makes no diagnosis. Use it as a starting point to understand your health and discuss any abnormal values with your doctor.
